Happy New Year and Merry Christmas sorry for the very late update alot of thing's came up so i had to put off doing the blog but now with out of the way i'll to update when i can and when i can find some good signal to post.
All right starting from B to U
R/Y, R/Y/R BNSF: DIVERGING APPROACH - Proceed on diverging route not exceeding prescribed speed through turnout,
and approach next signal preparing to stop. If exceeding 30 MPH immediately reduce to that speed.
NOTE: Speed is 40 MPH for passenger and active PTC trains.
R/Y/R CROR CN and CP : MEDIUM TO STOP : Proceed, MEDIUM speed passing signal and through turnouts, preparing to stop at next signal.
R/Y CROR CN and CP : RESTRICTING - Proceed at RESTRICTED speed.
R/Y, R/Y/R CSX Former SCL & C&O Lines : MEDIUM APPROACH - Medium speed through turnouts, crossovers, sidings, and over power operated switches; then proceed, prepared to stop at next signal.
R/Y/R CSX Former CONRAIL Lines: MEDIUM APPROACH - Proceed, prepared to stop at the next signal. Trains exceeding Medium speed must begin reduction to Medium speed as soon as the Medium Approach signal is clearly visible.
R/Y CSX Former CONRAIL Lines: RESTRICTING - Proceed at Restricted speed until the entire train has cleared all switches (if signal is CP signal) and the leading wheels have:
a. Passed a more favorable fixed signal,
or
b. Entered non-signaled DCS territory.
In CSS territory, trains with operative cab signals must not increase speed
until the train has run one train length or 500 feet (whichever distance is
greater) past a location where a more favorable cab signal was received.
R/Y, R/Y/R NORFOLK SOUTHERN Former SOUTHERN Lines : DIVERGING APPROACH - Proceed onto diverging route, observing authorized speed through turnout(s) or crossover(s), preparing to stop at next signal. Train or engine exceeding Medium speed must at once reduce to that speed.
L/Y, R/Y/R NORFOLK SOUTHERN Former N&W Lines : DIVERGING APPROACH - Proceed through diverging route, observing authorized speed through turnout(s) or crossover(s), preparing to stop at next signal. Train or engine exceeding Medium speed must at once reduce to that speed. *
R/Y/R NORFOLK SOUTHERN Former CONRAIL Lines: MEDIUM APPROACH - Proceed, prepared to stop at the next signal. Trains exceeding Medium speed must begin reduction to Medium speed as soon as the Medium Approach signal is clearly visible.
R/Y NORFOLK SOUTHERN Former CONRAIL Lines: RESTRICTING - Proceed at Restricted speed until the entire train has cleared
all interlocking, controlled point, and spring switches (if
signal is an interlocking or controlled point signal) and the
leading end has:
1. Passed a more favorable fixed signal,
or
2. Entered Rule 171 territory.
In CSS territory, trains with operative cab signals must not
increase speed until the train has run 1 train length past a
location where a more favorable cab signal was received.
R/Y, R/Y/R UNION PACIFIC: DIVERGING APPROACH - Proceed on diverging route at prescribed speed through turnout prepared to stop before any part of train or engine passes the next signal. Freight trains exceeding 30 MPH must immediately reduce to 30 MPH. Passenger trains exceeding 40 MPH must immediately reduce to 40 MPH.
*This aspect for two headed on the signal guide i found states that the Diverging Approach for the Ex-N&W lines had a Lunar over Yellow due to their restricting took the R/Y even the old N&W signal guide also has it in their book's to.
